The name Next in Care reflects our belief that investing in education is one of the most important investments we can make in the future of our communities. By supporting aspiring healthcare professionals today, we help ensure a stronger, more skilled, and more compassionate workforce for tomorrow.
The Next in Care Educational Bursary builds upon the legacy of the GEM Health Care Educational Nursing Foundation, established in 2015 by Gloria and Syed M. Hussain to support employees and their families in pursuing higher education. Since its inception, the program has helped remove financial barriers for learners while promoting excellence, professionalism, and growth within healthcare.
Today, that commitment continues through Next in Care—an investment in people, potential, and the future of healthcare.

WHO CAN APPLY
We offer two streams for applicants:
Current full-time employees of a GEM Health Care Group who are trying to obtain a higher nursing education. For example, a CCA/PSW training to become and LPN or an LPN who wants to become an RN.
Children (including legal dependents) of a full-time employee at GEM Health Care Group who are planning to enter nursing, caregiving or a related healthcare field.
